Providenciales might be TripAdvisor’s recent choice for the world’s best beach destination, but many of the other islands and cays in the Turks and Caicos Islands have a lot to offer travelers too.

That’s why Turks and Caicos Reservations has launched a dedicated marketing program “Beyond Providenciales” to promote tourism on Grand Turk, North Caicos, Middle Caicos, South Caicos, Salt Cay, Pine Cay, Parrot Cay and Ambergris Cay.

“To fully experience the real Turks and Caicos, visitors have to go beyond just Providenciales,” said Val Kalliecharan, general manager of Turks and Caicos Reservations, the country’s only locally-based e-marketing and tourism reservation service.

“While the pristine beaches and idyllic setting of Providenciales has received many well-deserved accolades, the other islands also offer spectacular experiences that further enhance a vacation to the Turks and Caicos,” he said. “It’s here, on these smaller islands, that the history, charm and true spirit of the Caribbean are revealed to travelers.”

The promotional campaign includes an e-mail newsletter to more than 20,000 subscribers, dedicated web pages and blog posts on the family of islands, a social media campaign and a real-time booking capability for hotels, villas and guest houses on these islands.

The campaign is supported by locally-knowledgeable Turks and Caicos Reservations agents who were born and raised in South Caicos, Middle Caicos, North Caicos and Providenciales can assist with trip planning, activities, inter-island transport and provide personal recommendations.

“The family of islands in the Turks and Caicos has so much to offer, yet many visitors don’t get beyond Providenciales,” said Christi Maddox, manager of Blue Horizon in Middle Caicos.

“We’re happy that Turk and Caicos Reservations is highlighting the family of islands in its promotions so that more visitors will be able to discover and enjoy these hidden gems,” Maddox said. “Each island has its own distinct attractions.

“Middle Caicos, for example, is home to the largest cave network in the Bahamian Archipelago as well as dramatic, picturesque beaches that rival those found on Providenciales but yet are virtually undiscovered.”

The mission of Turks and Caicos Reservations is to provide a more personal and knowledgeable resource for tourists to connect with before arriving in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Agents are available seven days a week from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. (EST) toll-free at 877-774-5486.

Their website — www.turksandcaicosreservations.tc — includes a real-time booking service for hotels and villas and the most current information on special deals, discounts, tours, attractions and activities.
