Police arrested an unidentified man March 8 in relation to an unsolved murder that is being investigated by the police Cold Crimes Unit. Acting on information received, police arrested the man as he disembarked a flight from Jamaica at Providenciales International Airport. Detectives find van used in attempted ATM robbery Detectives have recovered the vehicle they believe was used in the attempted theft of an automated teller machine in the foyer of the Graceway Gourmet in Grace Bay. Three masked men entered the car park of the store at 2:40 a.m. March 7 in a white van, which they used to smash a large window in the foyer. The culprits, who were all dressed in black, then tried to drag an ATM out of the supermarket with a metal chain tied to the bumper. They were unsuccessful in their bid and escaped empty-handed; however, the registration plate from the vehicle was left at the scene. Investigations revealed that the van, a white Chevy, was stolen shortly before the attempted theft. Police officers on patrol later discovered a white Chevy van with smashed rear windshields and a chain tied to the bumper, abandoned in the Long Bay area. Woman arrested in traffic death of Nichelle Farrington A woman has been arrested by police on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in the Feb. 26 death of Nichelle Farrington. The woman, who police did not identify, has been released on bail. Farrington, 24, was driving a Kia Reo on South Dock Road when it hit a Nissan Terrano coming from the opposite direction, police said. Farrington died from her injuries. The driver of the Nissan received serious non-life threatening injuries, and a passenger in the Nissan received non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
